How we handle your details

Who we are
The Elsewhere Experience is run by Nurturing Minds. In this notice, "we" means the Nurturing Minds organisers. You can reach us through the organisers, using the contact details on the main page.
What we collect
Only what you type into our forms (register your interest, partner enquiry, offer your skills, contact, and your-details requests): your name and email address, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, organisation, the way you would like to take part, and your message. We also keep the date you sent the form.
To limit spam we store a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address for a short time. We cannot turn it back into your address. We use one cookie that keeps the forms secure and keeps organisers signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- Register your interest: to tell you when tickets open, and to plan for access needs and dietary requirements you mention.
- Partner enquiry: to reply and talk through a partnership.
- Offer your skills: to consider your offer and reply.
- Contact and your-details requests: to answer you and to act on what you ask.
When you send a form we email you a short confirmation that we have it. We do not sell your details and we do not use them for anything unrelated to the evening. Anything you tell us about access or dietary needs is used only to plan the event.
If you buy or reserve tickets
We keep your name, email, optional phone number and what you ordered, so we can confirm your tickets, let you in on the night and keep our accounts. If you pay online, you pay on PayChangu's own page. PayChangu handles your card or mobile-money details under its own privacy notice, and we never see or store them. We receive only confirmation that a payment was made. We keep order records for as long as we need them for our accounts, so deleting your details does not remove a paid order, though we will remove everything we are not required to keep.
Who can see it
Only the organisers. We do not share your details with other people or organisations, except where a service is needed to run the evening, such as an email provider or, later, a payment provider for tickets. This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when the page opens.
How long we keep it
We keep interest registrations until the first edition has taken place and we have finished contacting guests about it. Partner and skills enquiries are kept while we are in touch with you and for a reasonable time afterwards. We then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, or ask us to stop writing to you. Use the your details form, or contact us using the details above, and we will act on it.
Changes
If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top.
