Questions people ask.
Plain answers about the evening. Where something has not been decided yet, we say so.
The evening
What is The Elsewhere Experience?
An in-person evening for at least 200 guests, with music, art, conversation, a shared dinner and time to rest. It is the first experience from Nurturing Minds, an interactive wellbeing platform. It is in development, so some details are still to be confirmed.
When and where is it?
The date and venue are still to be confirmed. Guests who register their interest hear first, and we publish decisions on the main page as soon as they are made.
What time does it start and finish?
Doors are planned for 15:30, the programme for 16:00 and the close for 23:00. These times are the plan, not a promise. See an evening, hour by hour.
What happens during the evening?
The evening moves through seven stages: Arrival, Discovery, Connection, Reflection, Expression, Celebration and Departure, with dinner as a shared meal between Connection and Reflection. Read about each stage.
Do I have to stay all evening?
Every stage is an invitation, and you can do different things at different times. Arrival and departure arrangements are still to be confirmed.
Taking part
Do I have to join in?
No. Every activity is optional and you can go at your own pace. Each one has a visible way to opt out or rest. You are never asked to share personal struggles or show that you have grown.
I will not know anyone. Is that all right?
Yes. Conversations are facilitated, groups are small and meals are at shared tables, so it is easy to meet people. Activities are designed for different personalities and comfort levels, and nobody has to say more than they wish.
Who is it for?
Anyone curious about living more intentionally who enjoys meaningful social experiences. We expect students, young professionals, entrepreneurs and creatives, and it is not limited to one group. Nobody is assumed to need fixing. More on who it is for.
Is there an age limit?
Any age limit is still to be confirmed.
Can I come with friends or as a group?
Of course. Ticket categories and any group arrangements are still to be confirmed.
Wellbeing and faith
Is this a religious gathering?
No. Faith informs the values behind the evening, such as gratitude and compassion, but nobody is asked to pray, believe or take part in any ritual. A guest of any faith, or none, should feel equally at home. Read more.
Is it therapy or a treatment?
No. It is an evening of rest, connection and enjoyment, and it makes no medical or therapeutic claims. You may feel rested or more connected, but we cannot promise any outcome.
What is the quiet space?
A calm corner open all evening for stillness, prayer or silence. There is no instruction and no one watching, and it is open to every guest and every belief. More about the quiet space.
Will there be movement or breathing activities?
There may be. They are optional, led by trained facilitators and kept within sensible physical limits. The programme is not final.
What if I need support during the evening?
Physical and emotional practices are led by trained facilitators, and there will be a clear route to professional support if someone needs it. Who is on hand, and where, will be confirmed with the venue.
