A fair question about The Elsewhere Experience is whether it is a religious gathering. It is not.
What faith does here#
Faith shapes why the evening exists and how it feels. It shows up as values: gratitude, compassion, humility, service, contemplation, an appreciation of beauty, and a sense of purpose. Guests meet these as warmth, generosity and meaning, in the food, the music, the space and the way people are welcomed.
A guest of any faith, or none, should feel equally at home.
What faith does not do#
- Nobody is asked to pray, believe or take part in any ritual.
- There are no sermons.
- Nothing is expected of a guest because of what they do or do not believe.

Room for stillness#
There is a quiet space open all evening. Some guests may use it for prayer, some for silence, some simply to sit down. There is no instruction there and no one watching. Read more in the quiet space.
