There is a way of thinking about wellbeing as something you receive: a treatment, an app, a programme. We would like to try something different. At The Elsewhere Experience, wellbeing is something guests do together, through movement, breath, expression, rest and play.
Ideas for each stage#
These are ideas for the first edition, not a confirmed programme.
Arrival and discovery#
- A warm drink and scent on entry, and a one-word card: how are you arriving?
- A sensory walk through the space, with sound, texture and scent stations.
Connection#
- Paired conversation prompts and small circles.
- A shared meal.
Reflection#
- Journaling stations and a gratitude wall.
- A quiet space.
- A short, optional guided breathing pause.
Expression and celebration#
- Collaborative art, group drumming or sound making, and storytelling circles.
- A facilitated movement session.
- Live music, group dance, games and laughter.
Departure#
- A closing breath and a moment of gratitude.
- A take-home reflection card.

How we plan to look after people#
- Every activity is optional, with a visible, no-pressure way to opt out or rest.
- Physical and emotional practices are led by trained facilitators, with a clear route to professional support if someone needs it.
- Accessibility, privacy and consent are planned from the start, including sensible limits on physical activity.
- Any wellbeing check is optional and anonymous, and used only to improve the evening.
You do not need to join in with any of it. Sitting down, watching and having a good meal is a perfectly good evening.
